Peer Review Policy
Kanun: Jurnal Undang-undang Malaysia is double blind peer reviewed.
Duration
Articles are processed to a maximum of 12 months based on the received, accepted and published date.
Process
It involves:
- Submission of article.
- Initial evaluation of the format and content (according to scope).
- Article submitted will be screened for plagiarism using IThenticate plagiarism detection software.
- Article that adheres the journal's scope and guidelines and passed the ithenticate screening will be sent to at least two independent experts for a double blind review.
- The experts are of different institutions from the author and are not among the editorial team of the journal.
- Reviewers evaluate the quality of the manuscript (including formatting, general evaluation, plagarisme presentation and discussion as well as data) then provide a recommendation on whether a manuscript can be accepted, requires revisions, or should be rejected
- Reviewers submit their reports with their comments on the article to editors.
- Editor may recommend the acceptance or rejection of the articles to Editor-in-Chief based on their own knowledge and expertise.
- Notification of manuscript acceptance, revision, or rejection to author.
- For article that must be revised, correction must be carried out by the author. Author resubmit the article.
- The article will be accepted if thorough revision of the article is carried out.
- Notification of acceptance to author.
