Kanun: Jurnal Undang-undang Malaysia is a refereed journal that is issued every January and July published by Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka. The articles included in Kanun: Jurnal Undang-undang Malaysia focus on the issues concerning latest legal studies carried out by academics from within and outside the country on Malaysian law that includes civil and sharia law. This incorporates comparative study of Malaysian law with the laws of other countries. Research regarding aspects of law that is barely carried out in Malay will be given priority.

Authors are most welcome to submit their articles in the following link: https://jurnal.dbp.my/index.php/Kanun/about/submissions

All submitted articles will go through double blind review process, after which authors will be notified about the status of their article through email. Authors are reminded to conform to the following submission requirements:

  1. The article must be recent, original, previously unpublished and is not being reviewed for publication elsewhere.
  2. The article must be free from all forms of plagiarism.
  3. All sources of excerpts and quotations must be clearly stated in their entirety.
  4. All sources of any secondary data used must be acknowledged in their entirety.
  5. The article must adhere to the format guideline set by the publisher. The guideline is available at https://jurnal.dbp.my/index.php/Kanun/subguideline

The closing date for submission will be on 29 February 2024 for the July 2024 issue.
