Linguistik antropologi: pengaruh pemikiran Boas

Abstrak

Makalah ini cuba menggalurkan pemikiran Boas, ahli antropologi dan ahli linguistik Amerika yang masyhur pada awal abad ke-20 dan mempunyai pengaruh yang dominan dalam bidang linguistik antropologi semasa dari segi orientasi, skop dan kaedahnya. Pengaruh pemikiran Boas ini ditinjau dalam bidang-bidang yang diceburinya: Antropologi, etnologi dan linguistik.
