Memasyarakatkan kajian morfologi dalam dunia Melayu

Abstract

Disseminating morphological researches to the society means to spread out the facts about the studies so that they can be known, recognized, comprehended, and generally practiced by the community. There are two important issues that need to be emphasized in disseminating morphological researches, namely (i) identifying the types of studies that intended to be disseminated, and (ii) identifying the appropriate ways and methods used to disseminate the studies. In the contexts of language and socialization, the morphological studies that can predictably spread and infiltrate easily into the community are the ones that describe and explain the language that is familiar to them, that is the language that they normally hear and use in their daily life. In addition, the study that is meant to be disseminated must be the one that can enhance the development of Malay linguistics knowledge. Morphological studies that can accomplish these fundamental notions are those that employed the following approaches, namely (i) corpus linguistics, and (ii) hypothetico-deductive linguistics. In the contexts of disseminating the findings, there are four possible strategies that can be implemented, (i) dissemination through conferences, (ii) dissemination through publications, (iii) dissemination through teaching, and (iv) dissemination through portal websites.
