Abstract

This research focus on three sign components, namely the sign category, definition sign, and definition sign category. The studied aspect includes the literal science nouns in the religion and belief riddle. Overall, all the theme consisted of nouns sign which are literal. They prove that theme in the genre riddle concentrate more on the use of signs which the definition is absolutely clear. The situation maybe influenced by the theme of the riddle which is used to show the good moral and advices.value. Therefor, the use of simple and clear definition of language is important to comfort the readers' interpretation.
