Pencerakinan maklumat linguistik dalam kamus Melayu-Indonesia
Abstract
This article is to demonstrate the treatment of linguistics information in Malay-Indonesian dictionaries. Descriptive comparative approach have been used to identify the similarities and differences in the treatment of linguistics information in Malay-Indonesian dictionaries. This article focused on the treatment of certain elements in linguistics discipline from the view of several prominent metalexicographers such as R.R.K. Hartmann, FJ. Hausmann and FE. Wiegand. Linguistics information in the dictionaries includes diachronic information (etymology), synchronic information (spelling, pronunciation, grammar), definition, paradigmatic information (synonyms, antonyms, hamonyms), syntagmatic information (usage examples), diasystematic information. Several dictionaries have been selected including Kamus Dewan and Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia. This article reveals some findings that create certain irregularities and dissimilarities in the Malay-Indonesian dictionaries. Hence several inputs have been put forward for the benefit of the Malay-Indonesian dictionaries.
